The Strawberry Vale Residents’ Association was provincially incorporated as a non-profit society in 1987. At that time, the people who paid property taxes were called "ratepayers,” hence the association was originally called the Strawberry Vale Ratepayers' Association.
This is a time of significant growth in Saanich as well as the entire Capital Regional District.
Our main concerns relate to development and land use, with a focus on the quality of life for residents.
Among the factors that we consider when looking at these issues are:
retention of agricultural land; protection of natural habitats and sensitive environments;
and impact on traffic flow and pedestrian safety.
