Entrance to Knockan Hill Park
Many of the plans and proposals being dealt with by Saanich Council directly affect, in whole or in part, areas of Strawberry Vale. Some of these issues have been in progress for some years – for example, the regional growth strategy has been on-going since 1996.

The association has an interest in numerous initiatives and community projects. Your board will be active on these issues on your behalf:

  • Reviewing all development plans with an eye for their impact on the community and quality of life for residents
  • Preservation of the flood plain, e.g. Panama Flats, Viaduct Flats
  • Green Spaces Preservation
  • Ecosystem Restoration
  • Transportation Demand Management
  • Traffic Calming & Improvements
  • Maintaining the Agricultural Land Reserve and Urban Containment Boundary.

There is much work to be done. If you have an interest in any specific area and can offer your time or expertise, please contact the board.
