Our Accomplishments

Development in the Wilkinson Valley
We take an active role in all matters relating to our community, including development applications, traffic and infrastructure, and safety issues.

We have also been involved in a number of other specific issues, such as:

  • Preservation of natural watercourses and flood plains (such as Viaduct Flats, Durrell Creek)
  • Enhancement of green spaces
  • Sidewalks along Wilkinson Road & Truck Route Network Study
  • Traffic calming in our neighbourhoods
  • Traffic study on Wilkinson/Helmcken
  • The restoration of the stone bench at the historic Stranton Lodge in Knockan Hill Park to commemorate Saanich’s Centennial.
  • Input into by-laws, policies and strategic plans, such as:
    1. Revision of the Development Permit Guidelines
    2. Heritage Conservation By-laws and Procedures
    3. Regional Growth Strategy
    4. Fill & Removal By-law
    5. Minimum Maintenance & Neglect By-law
    6. Sediment & Erosion Control By-law.

…And most recently, we have been involved with proposed changes at Panama Flats, Holland Avenue and Cherry Road.

The work is far from over! Please come join us.
