We take an active role in all matters relating to our community, including development applications, traffic and infrastructure, and safety issues.
We have also been involved in a number of
other specific issues, such as:
- Preservation of natural watercourses and flood
plains (such as Viaduct Flats, Durrell Creek)
- Enhancement of green spaces
- Sidewalks along Wilkinson Road & Truck Route
Network Study
- Traffic calming in our neighbourhoods
- Traffic study on Wilkinson/Helmcken
- The restoration of the stone
bench at the historic Stranton Lodge in Knockan Hill
Park to commemorate Saanich’s Centennial.
- Input into by-laws, policies and strategic plans, such as:
- Revision of the Development Permit Guidelines
- Heritage Conservation By-laws and Procedures
- Regional Growth Strategy
- Fill & Removal By-law
- Minimum Maintenance & Neglect By-law
- Sediment & Erosion Control By-law.
…And most recently, we have been involved with proposed changes at Panama Flats, Holland Avenue and Cherry Road.
